Jordan Gilbert – BFA Exhibition open 11/6-11/11, Brown bag lecture at noon on 11/10

Jordan Gilbert

The Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery at Tarleton State University presents the second exhibition in the BFA Senior Exhibition series of Fall 2015. BFA candidate Jordan Gilbert will be presenting her photographic series Rural Exploration on November 6 through the 11th, with a public brown bag lecture at noon on Tuesday, November 10th.

Jordan is from Granbury, TX and will soon be receiving her BFA in Art with an emphasis in Digital Media. For the past couple years, she have been shooting photos of abandoned buildings and malls on her way to and from Snyder, Tx.  She is inspired by the stories behind these places that have long started blend in the landscape.  Her work is a combination of digital printing and transferring processes that allow the print to appear on wooden surfaces.

The gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact gallery advisor Chris Ireland,

Kimbell’s Fall Exhibition.

Mark your calendars for the Kimbell’s fall exhibition that is already receiving critical acclaim.
November 8, 2015-February 14, 2016.

This is a great opportunity to experience firsthand, art from Gustave Caillebotte, a French painter and member of the artist know as Impressionists.
Caillebotte’s work in still life painting gives a unique insight into a critical period in art history.
