Equipment update – Ultimaker 2 Extended 3d Printer and 3d Scanner

Tarleton Digital Media will be upgrading it’s labs and will be receiving some new equipment over the summer do to the generosity of the administration at Tarleton.  One of the first pieces of equipment to arrive this week is the Ultimaker 2 Extended 3d Printer and the Master and Form 3d scanner.  Having this equipment will offer new opportunities for making work in both traditional sculpture and digital media courses.  More lab upgrades coming soon…


New addition to Tarleton Digital Media Faculty – Mrs. Megan Ehrhart

Tarleton Digital Media is pleased to announce that Mrs. Megan Ehrhart has agreed to teach full time for us as a tenure-track assistant professor of animation. Megan brings a wealth of varied experience to our department. Before coming to Tarleton as a part-time faculty member in Fall 2013, she taught at the The Cleveland Institute of Art, where she served as Chair of the Animation Department and Head of the TIME Digital Arts Department. While at CIA, she produced the annual EMIT Student Film and Animation Festival. In addition to extensive teaching experience, Megan has 13 years of professional experience as a fine and commercial artist, illustrator and animator. She earned a BFA in Illustration from The Maryland Institute, College of Arts; and an MFA in Film from Syracuse University. Her film and sculptural work exhibits internationally, including appearances at Beyond/In Western New York Biennial (NY, US), Big Screen Birmingham(UK), Bunter Hund International Short Film Festival (Germany), Hi Mom! Film Festival (NC, US), A Night of Horror International Film Festival (Australia), Illinois International Film Festival (IL, US), Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival (Switzerland), MIVICO Film Festival (Spain), Short Film Festival of Montecatini Terme (Italy), The Festival of Fantastic Films (UK), Antimatter Underground Film Festival (Canada) and the Everson Museum Biennial (NY, US)
