(from the press release) Work by current graduate students in TWU Department of Visual Arts chosen by the faculty in the department. The work shows the broad range of ideas, concepts and techniques that are employed by the students at TWU. The work ranges from formal investigations in paint and graphite to very experimental works with alternative media, unique sculptural installation and work with social and political impact. We are very proud to present this exhibition in Fort Worth to showcase the tremendous talent and artwork of our students.

10th Annual TSU Film Festival – Now accepting entries



Every year the Communication Studies department puts on a film festival featuring the best video/film/animation work of Tarleton students from across campus.  If you have done any moving image work in an art class or another class like Robert Anderson’s Digital Video course, you are eligible to submit your work.  If interested, you may give Professor Ireland a digital video file by Monday April 20th in person or in his mailbox… Students from the Documentary Seminar course will judge the entries later that night…The fest is Thurs April 23, at 7:00 in OA Grant 119.  There will be best in show awards given (last year Digital Media major Cam Rich won the top award)

2015 Juried Student Exhibition Reception this Wednesday (4/8)



There will be a reception open to the public for the 2015 Juried Student Exhibition on Wednesday, April 8th, from 5pm – 6:30pm at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery.  There will be refreshments and good company.  Again, that is Wednesday from 5pm-6:30.

President’s Circle Award Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the President’s Circle Awards, chosen on March 31st at a special reception for participants in the juried student art exhibition which is now currently on display at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.  The President’s Circle Reception is an annual event where Tarleton faculty and students get to mingle with the President and some of the top donors and supporters of the University.  The money raised by these gracious donors goes into scholarships and helps fund student research.  At the reception, members of the President’s circle vote on their favorite pieces in the exhibit.  Second and third place winners receive scholarship prizes while first place receive a scholarship prize and also will have her artwork featured at a local winery and on special bottles honoring the work of our students.  This years winners are 1. Meghan Dahlke, 2. Jordan Gilbert, 3. Shelby Alford.
