Brown Bag Lecture: visiting artist Christopher Blay – Thursday 3/19 at 12:15

The department of Fine Arts is pleased to announce a brown bag lecture on Thursday at 12:15 in the Fine Arts workshop theater, featuring North Texas artist Christopher Blay.  Christopher is also going to be the juror for the Juried Student Exhibition, opening next week.

Christopher Blay is a North Texas artist with a B.F.A. in photography from Texas Christian University. He founded the Group f8 photography collective in Fort Worth and works primarily as an installation artist, with an eye towards institutional critique.

Notable works include the NEA funded The Ark on Noah Street and Machine Time at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary

He has received awards including the 2013 Moss/Chumley Award from Southern Methodist University and the 2015 Masterminds Award from the Dallas Observer.
