Visiting Art Lecture: Poet and Professor Ken Hada 10/15

Dr. Ken Hada, Professor and Poet from East Central University in Oklahoma, will be on campus next week to talk about his collaboration with an artist that resulted in a remarkable collection of poetry and paintings, The River White: A Confluence of Brush & Quill. Dr. Hada will be speaking at 7PM in Grant 119 on Wednesday, October 15.

Please come and join us for this fascinating presentation. Refreshments will be served after the talk. Dr. Hada will also have copies of this book  and others of his works for sale at this time.

Dr. Hada’s visit is sponsored by the Department of English and Languages and the Department of Fine Arts.  In addition to this visit, there will be a collaboration between Dr. Julie Chappell’s ENGL 3343 Creative Writing course and Chris Ireland’s ARTs 3381 Digital Print Media course later this semester to explore the creative possibilities in combining image/text in narrative structures.
