Tonight, February 8th, the Modern Art Museum will be featuring a lecture by German photographer, Uta Barth.  This free presentation will formally begin at 7pm, however seating begins at 6:30pm and is limited to 250 people.  She will be sharing the progress of her work as it has evolved over the past twenty years.  Mr. Ireland will be attending the event and is willing to lead a group or have people ride along.  For details find Mr. Ireland in his office or in the computer lab today! Her style experiments with depth of field, focus and framing to take photographs that are suggestive rather than descriptive, alluding to places rather than describing them explicitly.  Her interiors and landscapes engage the viewer in an almost subliminal way, testing memory, intellect and habitual responses. To view some of Uta’s work check out Art Review.
